Borough Council
Mayor John J. Gural, Jr. - 739 Parry Avenue - 786-4488
Committees - Negotiations (Chair), Member of: Communications, Construction-Code Enforcement, Public Property, Public Safety, Sewer, Liaison to the Board of Education
As Mayor of Palmyra, I am pleased to welcome Palmyra residents and non-residents alike to our website, which we hope will become an ever more helpful and popular resource for information about the Borough.
On this site, Palmyra's residents can discover a wealth of information about public services, such as trash pickup, police and emergency service; redevelopment plans; athletic programs; and local businesses. This site also offers, under "Contact Us," a convenient method for communicating to me, Borough Council, and other municipal offices. I hope that you will feel free to e-mail us your concerns, questions, and interests. As many of you know, this is an exciting time for Palmyra, as we consider two new redevelopment plans, build a new community center, and see the physical transformation of our downtown through a $540,000 grant from the Department of Transportation for new sidewalks, period lighting and other amenities.
I also want to welcome non-residents to our online community and I encourage you to come see and enjoy the real thing by shopping in our business district or looking for a home, walking our tree-lined streets, and discovering the friendly, small-town atmosphere of Palmyra. Palmyra was established in 1849 and is rich in history, but as our website shows, we are moving confidently into the future. Palmyra is truly "A Place to Grow."
Sincerely,
Mayor John J. Gural, Jr.
